Track Description Recently, we had to take note of the more and more urgent demand coming from the maritime world to find out the technical design solutions, to minimize the operating cost of ships, to improve the life conditions on board (particularly for modern cruise ships), to minimize the levels of the airborne and structure borne noise, to maximize the port throughput etc. Also, the introduction of the mathematical models approach aimed at simulation of port systems can result in an experimental activity. This track focuses on: the actual status of the problems relating to the ports and terminal modelling, the information and experience on the changes that have occurred in this field within the past period and the prospects for development of the port strategy in the context of the most recent international trends and initiatives for improving the significance of maritime transport, logistics and engineering education. Therefore, this track should provide the good base for improving and connecting the scientists from different parts of the world to collaborate and exchange their goals in order to follow the trends of port and terminal modelling.
Topic List · Advanced Technologies in Terminal Handling and Design · Bulk Terminals Modelling · Oil Terminals Modelling · Ro-Ro and Ferry Terminals Modelling · Cruise Ports and Terminals Modelling · Green Ports and Terminals Modelling · Container Terminals Modelling · Capacity Planning in Ports and Terminals · Decision Support Systems for Ports and Terminals Modelling · Optimization of Port Operations · Ports and Terminal Sustainability · Port Competition · Port Performance Measurement
Nevertheless different topics concerning Ports and Terminals Modelling are welcome. |
