Saturday 20 September

Breakfast at the hotel at 8.00 a.m. Departure for Reggio Calabria (150 km far from the Conference Location). In the town you will visit the National Museum where Riace’s Bronzes are located and you can make enjoyable walks on the town seafront having a sight of the Sicilian Coast.

Lunch break at 1.00 p.m. In the afternoon we will move to the wonderful city of Pizzo Calabro. Here the Piedigrotta’s Church, that is very famous because was excavated in the tuff on the sand, the Castle and the Museum, dedicated at Gioacchino Calabro, are visited. You have the opportunity to go for a walk on the Belvedere’s Square and then you will test the delicious homemade ice-cream. You will be free to wander around the ancients streets, the typical stores, bars and to go shopping. Return to the hotel at 8.00 p.m. After the dinner, you can take part to an outdoor performance of traditional music near the swimming pool or to an entertainment with our animation’s staff in the amphitheatre.

Sunday 21 September

Breakfast at the hotel at 8.00 a.m. During the morning there will be an excursion to Amantea (7 km far from the Conference location), where you will visit the storical centre. Here you can taste the  typical biscuit filled with a delicious cream (Buconotto di Amantea), that are offered by our direction. This typical biscuit was rewarded by RAI 1 (the first Italian Channel) for its delicious taste. At 1 p.m. return to the hotel for having lunch. In the afternoon, there will be an excursion for Paola (25 kilometers far from the Conference location), where you will visit the Sanctuary of San Francesco, that was the patron of the seamen. Then we will move to the Colavolpe’s laboratory, where you will taste the delicious Calabrian drieds figs in different types (with chocolate, honey, etc). Return to the hotel for having a dinner. After the dinner you can take part to the enjoyable enterteinment of our animation’ staff.

Monday 22 September

Breakfast in hotel. Departure.
