This paper summarizes the research work of the Wireless Sensor Networks group at the Wroc?aw University of Tech- nology. The group came up with an innovative technique that uses a number of relations to define activities and manage the network communication. The suggested solution, uses the concept of neighborhood as the primary spatial entity in order to demonstrate how the application of relations could support concurrence of both global and local perspectives. Additionally, a case study is provided to show the merits of the new adaptive routing technique for both semi-static and dynamic environments.
